Hello and Welcome to A Developer Diary
I am a diary without any real pages. I’ve been made with WordPress’s html pages & posts. I share
Abhisek’s experience with Software Development to the world of internet.
Even though I was officially hosted sometime around mid of 2015
, I was a dormant idea hidden in Abhisek’s mind for many years.
Abhisek’s wife, Saheli who inspired
him through her cooking blog named www.funloveandcooking.com. In case you are a foodie and want get taste of some delicious yummy recipe, don’t forget to visit her blog.
So that is all about me, however if you want to know more about Abhisek; here is a brief history of his journey towards computer science.
Middle School : I was crazy about creating
electronic gadgets
using transistors, ICs, resistor, capacitor when I was around 1o years old. I had another friend who was also like me. We used to go for all the exhibition, competitions happening near our city. I did’t really understood at that time how a transistor really works, we used to follow the circuits diagram and make crazy gadgets.
First Computer : First time I saw the computer at school when I was 14. It was a first sight love with the BBC Micro Computer
, a tremendous excitement grew in me. Unfortunately it was the first and last day class before summer vacation. So I got as many as book possible from our district library and read all of them.
First Programming Language : BASIC
was the first programming language I started with. The graphics
library mainly attracted me, by the time I went to college I had developed tons of games & simulations. At that time computer lab was a very restricted area, however I was the only student allowed anytime of the day.
First Prize in Programming Language : I won several prizes during District Computer Fare
, however the book Programming in C
by Balaguruswamy had the most influence on me.I started learning C when I was in high school, this helped a lot since C was a compulsory subject in first year of engineering.
A Long Learing Curve : After high school when I was in college, the
Stroustrup's C++
book helped a lot to build the foundation then Data Structure, Computer Architecture, Operating System, Automata Theory, Computer Graphics, Compiler Constructions … (fast forward the time) … Angular 2, Cloud Native, Big Data – started a never ending journey of a student life.
Deep Learning : In past decade I have worked on many different technologies (JS, JEE, Microservices, No-SQL etc). However, I always felt that the challenges start to evaporate after few months. So periodically I used to look out for learning something new, interesting and challenging. Finally, my search came to a closer when I discovered the world of Machine Learning & Deep Learning. This time I can see that I have a long road ahead and I am spending significant time mastering the subjects. As a result, recently my wife started complaining that every room in our apartment now looks like a study room !
Back to School : I have decided to go back to school again.Graduated in Master of Computer Science with major in Machine Learning from one of the top 5 university in USA. It was a splendid journey, I learned a lot from my studies and most importantly I came to know about different pathways each leading to a separate journey. I am planning to go back to school again, until then mastering the publications related to ML/DL and finding more time for blog post.

Can I simply say what a comfort to discover somebody who genuinely understands what they are talking about on the web.
You actually understand how to bring a problem to light and make it important.
A lot more people really need to read this and understand
this side of the story. It’s surprising you’re not more popular because
you certainly possess the gift.
